Frequently Asked Questions from Clients

To get started, what will you need from me?

  • New clients must schedule a get-acquainted visit in order for us to become familiar with the pet(s) before service begins.  There is no charge for this initial visit.
  • Payment is due on the first day of service.
  • You will need to have a key for us.
  • Each pet must have updated vaccinations with ID tags attached or available and each pet should be on some form of flea & tick prevention.
  • Owner will need to provide “clean up bags” for Four Footed Pals to use when taking dogs outside and deposal site for waste from litter box scooping.
  • After returning home, a call is required to confirm your safe arrival and to ensure proper care your pet(s).

How do I cancel pet sitting visits?

If cancellation is necessary, please notify us within 48 hours of scheduled departure date.

How do I add or cancel a dog walk?

To cancel a walk, please call Debbie’s mobile at 615-481-PETS (615-481-7387) with at least an hour’s notice to avoid being charged for the service.

To add a walk, please call us or email us at info@fourfootedpals.com.  We prefer at least 24 hours notice in order for us to schedule accordingly.  We understand that sometimes emergencies occur and you may need our services with less than 24 hours notice.

What is your weather policy regarding dog walks?

To ensure your pet’s safety, and ours, we reserve the right to cancel in the event of severe weather conditions.  In some cases, the walk may be delayed until weather conditions improve.  If we cancel or delay your walk, we will notify you personally.  There will be no charge if we cancel your walk due to inclement weather.

What if I need to change my weekly schedule?

Just call our office at 615-614-BARK (615-614-2275) to discuss your needs and we’ll work with you to develop a new schedule that works for you and your pets.

Can I choose a specific time for my dog walks?

We will do our best to honor your time requests.  However, due to the number of clients we service, we normally strive for a 2-hour window around each visit.  For example, if you schedule a dog walk at noon, we can guarantee we will be there sometime between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm (but it may not be exactly at noon).
